I am farm boy from rural Letohatchee, AL that always had a knack for tinkering and traveling.
Luckily, I had nurturing parents that allowed me to develop my technical skills and explore the world
I finished high school at the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science in Mobile, AL.
My BS, MS, and PhD degrees are in Mechanical Engineering from Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University (BS), University of California, Berkeley (MS), and University of California, Berkeley (PhD).
I am also a co-founder and the project manager for the Community Assessment of Renewable Energy and Sustainability (CARES).
CARES began as a project in Dr. Agogino's Sustainable Product Development class in 2007, and I have been able to expand CARES into an organization that tackles the issues of co-designing and implementing sustainable solutions in various communities.
